At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs!

We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar. Airports are a drag. The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination. And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares. So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be. That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.

But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought. What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does? We think it can be described as…

“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”

It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite. Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.

The Rockstar Service campaign is the latest creative expression of this belief. With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

When tired of all the stress at work, there’s nothing like taking a short holiday somewhere where you can relax and get your mind off what’s bothering you. My favorite place for an escapade such as that is Majorca.

Square in the Mediterranean Sea, Majorca is part of the group of islands called the Baleares. You probably know its sister island, Ibiza, better than Majorca. Being a major hub for a few low-cost airliners it’s relatively easy and definitely cheap to get there. Also, instead of staying at a hotel you can follow the tradition of staying in one of the many holiday villas in Spain. This should also help you with the relaxation, as you won’t be on anyone’s schedule but your own, and you won’t have to deal with hotel staff of neighbors.

Rent a car and explore the island or, if you’re not so inclined, take a towel and relax by the beach. The island’s beauty is absolutely stunning and the water is clear and warm. There will be, however, one stress factor in all of it: knowing that you’ll eventually have to leave. So come on down to sunny Spain and take a load off, you’ll be better off for it.

There is nothing quite like hitting the trail on a fresh summers’ morning. The air is crisp and the ground slightly damp due to the early morning dew. Hiking is a great sport to enjoy at a next to nothing cost. It presents a great opportunity for the whole family so spend some time together and a healthy way to experience the great outdoors.

Getting your hiking attire spot on is an important aspect of your hike to consider if you want to maximise your enjoyment, whilst eradicating safety concerns too.

Picking the right hiking gear can be a tricky process, and there is a definite gulf in quality available in the market place. There are some more-general tips to adhere to though to make the most of your choices.

It is always wise to wear a form of hat when hiking, especially when it is sunny. A hat provides adequate protection of the eyes from the glare of the sun, as well as keeping your head cool. There are some hats with side tassels which can protect the ears from sunburn too.

Footwear is also a vital area to consider and it is best to choose a pair which offer adequate whole-foot support which are study enough to withstand long walks on uneven and uncertain surfaces. Heavy duty cotton socks should also be worn to prevent blistering or skin aggravation.

Dependant on the climate you are hiking in, the number and style of upper body garments will vary. For warmer weathers, a light coloured t-shirt which will reflect the sun will be a safe choice, with the accompaniment of a lightweight fleece, in case the weather turns chilly. In colder climates a long sleeve shirt would suffice. Craghoppers have an extensive range of outdoor garments to suit any weather condition.

Should the hike be through any woodland area, it would be wise to protect yourself against the risk ticks, sharp branches and nettles by wearing rigid jeans of cargo pants.

Stay safe this hiking season and happy trails!

This is probably the most important landmark in downtown Vienna. With a metro station located right beside it and a major tourist square right in front of it, it’s one of those places that after a few hours walking around the center of the town you’ll be able to find with your eyes closed. The surrounding square is a hotspot for street performers, vendors and street artists, giving a very picturesque setting to one of the most unique Romanesque churches in the World. The township of Vienna spends a lot of money keeping its major landmark in excellent shape, which may lead to part of it being covered by scaffolding. Fortunately, the Austrians were clever enough to cover the scaffolding with a lifelike picture of what they’re renovating, so you’ll always get the feel of what you’re missing.

With the multitude of tour buses and low-cost flights to Vienna that arrive at the city at every hour, the church is constantly being visited by tourists, which may at times disturb the devout that go there to pray in those awesome surroundings. So please keep that in mind when visiting it. Also don’t forget to take a peek at the catacombs, which are truly amazing.

The countries of the (EU) European union do not require passports to travel between them. Any individual seeking a better economic opportunity in another member country can just travel to that nation and take up residence. He or she will also be free to seek employment, if it can be found, in that country. This policy allowing people to freely emigrate among EU nations is similar to an American from one state moving to another state for employment or any other reason.

There are people who both oppose and support this policy. People in the nations receiving these people fear their employment chances will be jeopardized by those who emigrate to their country. Those in need of employment are quite supportive of this freedom the policy gives them. Whether people agree or disagree, this is the set policy of the European Union and it will not be changed.

For thousands of years people would emigrate from one place to another. As far back as the time of the Roman Empire this took place. Emigration at one time was used interchangeably with the concept of migration. As long as you meet the set criteria of the destination country, you should be free to call this new country your home.

Here you will view the beautiful, permanently moored barges that contain unique and exotic flowers from all around the planet. Some you may even be familiar with but a trip to the Bloememarkt should be a stop on every travelers map.
No matter which of the Amsterdam hotels you are staying in, several trams can take you to this market. Not only will you admire that flowers but there are also plants, bulbs and herbs available also. You can eat at pancake stalls or a coffee shops where you can sit and just view all the beauty that surrounds you.
In this same area you will find international art, ornaments and sculptures in the knick-knack shops that offer the Dutch flavor. All the thousands of flowers will fill the air with a heavenly aroma that you can comment on with other garden enthusiasts that are also there from many corners of the world. If you go in the afternoon, it is a better time of day to take your time and see all there is to see.

If you can live with cheap accommodations like backpackers do, then you can avoid the Barcelona hotels and stay with the young people who are new to this city. You can stay in a hostel while you look for other accommodations in a flat or an apartment.
It is a wise thing to know the different names that are used in Barcelona for lodging.
A hostal and a hostel are two different things. Hostel with an “e” is for the youths and the actual name for these places is Albergues Juveniles. All hotel-like accommodations in Barcelona are given one of three names which are: hotel, hostal and pension. You can be easily mislead if you do not know the difference. A pension and hostal are the same things and a hostal is similar to a hotel just more like a guest house. It is possible for a hostal to offer equal, if not better sometimes, accommodations than some hotels, and in the same price range. A hostel can save you up to fifty percent in cost compared to a hotel, but it depends on what you want. Hostals are smaller then hotels, less formal but more friendly than hotels and hostels will not offer air conditioning or satellite TV.

Trying to book a vacation on a budget can be quite a task. It is, however, possible, and very common these days. Many people don’t have thousands of dollars to throw at a holiday, and those who do don’t feel the need to. There are plenty of ways you can save, especially on the biggest expenses of a vacation: accommodation and airfare.

Budget airliners fly all over the world, and more commonly in Europe. You can get very cheap flights within Europe, and they all operate out of most major airports. This opens up the most popular capitals, offering the most coveted vacation destinations to you at an affordable price. Same goes for accommodation. Hostels and other budget housing is very popular and offer competitive prices. Paris Hotels can be expensive, but if you get a budget airline into Paris, you can find several hostels offering great prices. Look into packages, such as early booking specials or last minute deals, which can save you big as well. London, Paris, and Prague are just a few of the options you can afford! Choosing a popular destination doesn’t mean expensive prices, it often means the opposite.

It could be a hard decision as to where to spend your apparently brief vacation. It would be good if you got to work for just three weeks and get your holiday for the rest of the year, but the excruciating fact is that it’s vice versa. This is how come it’s so significant to know where it is where you really would like to go, and what is it that you might see and do when you arrive there.

England is a must if you’re to expend your vacations in the United Kingdom. It’s a country abundant in culture and fine architecture. With historical landmarks such as the Stonehenge, the Clock Tower, British Parliament, Roman Baths, the Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace, it appears as though you would have to set apart a whole digital cam memory card for England itself. Here, you would as well get to see the stoic guards at Buckingham Palace that won’t seem to move regardless what you do.

England Vacation Rentals are in huge supply so you won’t have a problem obtaining a good place to stay. If ever your U.K. holidays were to fall into the month of August, then it would be a big error to leave out the world’s most happening festival. It carries the record of being the world’s biggest arts festivals. The term Edinburgh festival is in reality an aggregation of a number of festivals that occur in August at the same place.

And, you and your family would love the tourist attractions that France has to offer. Not only this, these holiday packages are especially catered to take care of the children and offer them engaging activities in the kids club so that you and your spouse can spend some quality time together. Not only this, these kids clubs enhance the overall personality of your children by helping them meet and spend time with children of same age groups, learn new things and play games, and even get introduced to a foreign language, French.
